More than one million visitors are expected in Marrakech over the four test years, on the road to the UC World Economic Platform 2030.
Two designers from two countries meet. Each carries the identity of a culture one of the 25,321 cultures living in 269 countries and regions. Together they write one design protocol. Raw materials come from country A. The product is made and finished in country B. It travels through warehouses and wholesalers to the market. Both countries gain work, both cultures gain a stage. Revenue is shared per the UC Designer Agreement.
Proof of concept from the development years: Moroccan clothing with Senegalese wax two identities, one product.
The tradeshow is not one hall. It is held across the areas of the host city the whole city becomes the venue. Every host city has its own areas, and every area receives its own program. In every area a permanent artistic installation is built and stays after the edition together they form the United Cultures Trail.
