The United Cultures Tradeshow is about the identity of every culture and subculture in every country 25,321 cultures living in 269 countries and regions. It is the world's biggest cultural design tradeshow: a place where cultures connect, develop and produce together.
Connect. Two designers from two countries are paired. Each is officially mandated approved by their government or their culture representative to represent their culture, following the model of an Olympic delegation. There is no open registration for the show floor: every designer stands for a culture.
Develop. The pair writes one design protocol: one product carrying both cultural identities. A proven example from the development years: Moroccan clothing made with Senegalese wax fabric two identities, one garment.
Produce. Raw materials from country A. Factory and finishing in country B. Warehouse, wholesale, retail. Work and value are created in both countries. Revenue is shared per the UC Designer Agreement.
Ground owners → raw-material factories → designers writing design protocols → product factories → warehouses → wholesalers → retail and market. Around the chain stand the partners: governments, cultural institutions, universities, embassies, organisations, the creative industry and sponsors.
Fashion, accessories, shoes, bags, jewelry, hats, textile, parfum, cosmetics, industrial design, architecture, 3D, interior, robotics, aerospace, technology, digital design, music, art and food every field where a culture expresses its identity.
The tradeshow is built to create work and learning for young people in the host country in workshops, factories, training kitchens, ateliers and studios and to reconnect the diaspora as mentors and contributors. Every edition leaves skills, jobs and a permanent artistic installation in every area behind.
