The Basics

UC Crowdfunding is a donation-based platform. Community members pledge to cultural preservation projects. There are no equity, rewards, or investment returns — every pledge is a gift to the United Cultures Foundation, ring-fenced for the specific campaign selected.

All money flows to Stichting United Cultures IBAN NL46 BUNQ 2290 9503 78 and is tracked in a dedicated campaign ledger. UC publishes progress against each target.

How Campaigns Get Listed

All UC Crowdfunding campaigns are curated by the United Cultures Foundation team. Campaigns are aligned with one of the flagship programmes (Heritage, Language, Arts, Cuisine, Environment, Community) and pass a review for cultural impact and feasibility.

To propose a new campaign, email crowdfunding@unitedcultures.org.

Refunds and Cancellations

Campaigns that do not reach their target: funds already pledged are transferred to the general Foundation programme fund and continue to support cultural preservation. This is stated clearly on every campaign page.

Individual pledge refund requests: emailed to crowdfunding@unitedcultures.org within 14 days of the pledge, reviewed case by case.

Not a peer-to-peer lender — UC does not intermediate loans
Not tax-deductible — UC Foundation is not ANBI-registered
