Foundation evolving into an Intergovernmental Body by 2030
Each of the 269 countries and regions sends a delegation: seven mandated designers, culture representatives, and a country pavilion of 49 m² with live worktables, fitting rooms, vitrines and a podium the identity of the country and of the cultures living in it, on a world stage.
Designers are approved by their government or by their culture representative. Ministries of culture, industry, design and economy, embassies and cultural institutions carry the selection at home and stand beside their designers in the host city.
Every country presents its raw materials the ground its products grow from. Pairings connect one country's materials with another country's making, so both economies gain from every product.
An ambassadors lounge with the cuisine of the participating countries, bilateral meeting rooms and protocol support through every edition.
