By accessing any of the 26 United Cultures platforms, you agree to these Terms of Use, our Copyright Policy, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using all UC services. All content is protected by international copyright law — unauthorized use will result in legal action against any individual, company, organisation, or government entity.
These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Stichting United Cultures — Intergovernmental Foundation. They govern your access to and use of all United Cultures websites, platforms, portals, applications, content, and services.
1.1 By accessing, browsing, or using any United Cultures platform (individually or collectively, "UC Platforms"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Copyright & Using of Content Policy, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable supplemental terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using all UC services.
1.2 These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered members, contributors, organisational representatives, government officials, and any other person or entity accessing UC Platforms.
1.3 United Cultures reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email and platform notification.
🛡️ All content across UC 26 platforms — including text, images, graphics, logos, designs, code, page layouts, navigation structures, database schemas, audio, video, documents, and all other materials — is protected by international copyright law and is the exclusive property of United Cultures.
2.1 No Copying. You are strictly prohibited from copying, reproducing, downloading, screenshotting, screen-recording, scraping, crawling, mirroring, caching, or otherwise capturing any content, images, text, or structural components from any UC Platform without explicit prior written authorization from United Cultures.
2.2 No Distribution. You may not distribute, transmit, publish, broadcast, share, forward, or otherwise disseminate any UC content to any third party, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes, without prior written authorization.
2.3 No Modification. You may not modify, alter, transform, translate, adapt, create derivative works from, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any UC content, code, or platform structure.
2.4 No Commercial Use. You may not use any UC content for any commercial purpose including advertising, marketing, product development, publications, or any revenue-generating activity without explicit authorization.
2.5 No AI Training. You may not use any UC content, data, or materials for training, developing, or improving artificial intelligence systems, machine learning models, or automated data processing without prior written consent.
2.6 Full Copyright Policy. These restrictions are supplemented by our comprehensive Copyright & Using of Content Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
3.1 Unauthorized use of UC content by any party — whether an individual, company, corporation, organisation, NGO, educational institution, government agency, sovereign state, or any other entity — will result in immediate legal action.
3.2 Immediate Remedies. United Cultures may, without prior notice: (a) terminate your access to all UC Platforms; (b) revoke any memberships, accounts, or authorizations; (c) issue cease-and-desist orders; (d) file DMCA takedown notices; (e) contact hosting providers and search engines to remove infringing content.
3.3 Legal Proceedings. United Cultures will initiate civil proceedings seeking injunctive relief, compensatory damages, statutory damages of up to €100,000 per infringed work, disgorgement of profits, and recovery of all legal costs and attorneys' fees.
3.4 Criminal Referral. Wilful copyright infringement will be referred to law enforcement authorities for criminal prosecution in all applicable jurisdictions.
3.5 No Immunity. No party may claim sovereign immunity, diplomatic privilege, organisational immunity, or any other exemption from these Terms or the consequences of their violation.
4.1 Certain UC Platform features require account registration. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain the accuracy of your information.
4.2 You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at security@unitedcultures.org if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4.3 United Cultures reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or conduct that harms the UC community.
4.4 You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent, or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans.
In addition to the intellectual property restrictions in Article 2, you may not:
5.1 Use any UC Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law.
5.2 Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to UC servers, networks, databases, or security systems.
5.3 Use automated systems, bots, scrapers, spiders, or any other automated means to access, collect, or interact with UC Platforms without prior written authorization.
5.4 Impersonate any person, entity, UC official, or falsely claim affiliation with United Cultures.
5.5 Post, transmit, or share content that is defamatory, threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
5.6 Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, access control, or technical protection measures on UC Platforms.
5.7 Use UC Platforms to transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code, or to engage in phishing, spam, or similar activities.
6.1 Certain UC services, memberships, events, and features require payment. All fees are stated in Euros (€) unless otherwise indicated and are non-refundable unless expressly stated.
6.2 Membership fees are billed according to the plan selected. United Cultures reserves the right to modify fees with 30 days' notice to existing members.
6.3 You may terminate your membership at any time by emailing membership@unitedcultures.org. Access to members-only content and services will be revoked immediately upon termination. Fees already paid are non-refundable.
7.1 UC Platforms and content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
7.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, United Cultures shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of UC Platforms.
7.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8.1 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless United Cultures, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of UC Platforms; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any intellectual property or other rights of United Cultures or any third party; (d) any content you post, upload, or transmit through UC Platforms.
9.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and applicable European Union legislation.
9.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands, without prejudice to United Cultures right to initiate proceedings in any jurisdiction where an infringement has occurred or where the violating party is domiciled.
9.3 If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
9.4 The failure of United Cultures to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
10.1 By United Cultures. We may terminate or suspend your access to any or all UC Platforms immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms cease immediately.
10.2 By You. You may terminate your membership by contacting membership@unitedcultures.org. Fees already paid are non-refundable.
10.3 Survival. Sections relating to intellectual property, enforcement, indemnification, limitation of liability, and governing law shall survive termination of these Terms.

These Terms of Use are enforceable under Dutch law and international treaties. Unauthorized use of any United Cultures content will be prosecuted.
