A commercial fine-dining restaurant with a social heart: young adults far from the labour market trained into professional hospitality careers, guided from apprenticeship to paid employment.
OMMI Top Cuisine is a commercial and professional restaurant concept with a major social heart. Clients and partners make the difference for people who face a distance to the labour market, giving them a new opportunity through our restaurants, our business catering locations and our restaurant activities.
“The meaning of our life is in the difference we make in the lives of others.”— Nelson Mandela
In Morocco alone, there are many young adults between 17 and 35 who have not been given the opportunities they need to develop. OMMI is that opportunity — a place to go to work every day, welcomed by colleagues and guests, and in turn to become an example for family, friends and every person they meet.
Personal, hospitality-focused training built around the student.
Real kitchens, real service, real guests inside the OMMI network.
Personal support and social intensive coaching throughout the programme.
Placed into paid work in the OMMI network, or fed into further learning.
Every student earns an OMMI Top Cuisine certificate describing the skills gained. Programmes run from one year to a year and a half.
Foundation training for restaurant floor and service work.
Full apprenticeship as an OMMI companion cook.
Training to lead a restaurant floor and manage a team.
Tailored programme for students needing a specific path to paid work.
Diversity is a plus. Students who join OMMI Top Cuisine meet the following criteria:
“I feel like a tree here; I sway with all the winds and sometimes lose a leaf, but I always stand firm with my feet on the ground.”— Femke, OMMI student
“I live day by day and don’t know what will come. But at least I’ve made my mother proud of what I do, and I want to make her prouder still.”— Bilal, OMMI student
Our job coach continues to guide the student for at least six months at the new workplace.
We show the employer how to guide the student and how to build the role for them.
Support with subsidy applications and Moroccan government procedures for wage and sick leave administration.
