More foreign workers push Japan's overseas remittances to record high

Fiscal 2025 figure up 11.5% from year before, with Vietnam receiving nearly 30% of total

TOKYO -- Overseas remittances from Japan grew to a record high of 1.004 trillion yen ($6.2 billion) in the fiscal year ended in March, up by 11.5% compared to the previous year, reflecting an increase in foreign workers.
